AVGM SHIPMANAGEMENT PRIVATE LIMITED strictly adheres to the provisions of the Merchant Shipping Act 2025, MLC 2006 and guidelines issued by the Directorate General of Shipping Government of India.

The Company hereby declares and confirms that no recruitment fees or other charges shall be levied on seafarers directly or indirectly in whole or in part at any stage of recruitment placement or deployment on board vessels.

Permitted Costs to Seafarers

• The only costs that may be borne by seafarers themselves are those explicitly permitted under applicable regulations namely


• Cost of obtaining a medical fitness certificate
• Cost of obtaining or renewing a Seafarers Identity Document or Seafarers Book
• Cost of obtaining or renewing a passport
• Cost of other similar personal travel or identity documents where applicable


• No other fees deposits commissions or charges of any kind shall be demanded or accepted from seafarers.

Prohibited Practices

AVGM SHIPMANAGEMENT PRIVATE LIMITED strictly prohibits

• Charging recruitment or placement fees to seafarers
• Collection of any indirect payments through agents intermediaries or third parties
• Deduction of unauthorized amounts from wages or benefits
• Any form of financial exploitation of seafarers

Any breach of this policy shall attract strict disciplinary action as per company procedures and applicable laws.
